Lisa Cassilli, LPC, ACS, NCC, ADHD-CCSP

Clinical Director, Co-Founder, Licensed Professional Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor

With over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, Lisa’s journey began in substance abuse intensive outpatient treatment which led to a 25-year career as the Student Assistance Coordinator and Anti-Bullying Specialist in a public school district. In this role, she developed and implemented crucial support systems for the intervention and referral of students in crisis and/or in need of mental health services. She also spearheaded policy development and professional workshops for the district, while providing vital advocacy for special education students and those in need of 504 Accommodation Plans. She simultaneously facilitated all Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) investigations and trainings. Her transition into private practice, marked by the establishment of Lighthouse Counseling Group in 2018, reflects her deep commitment to mental health and community advocacy. After years of working with adolescents and families, Lisa now enjoys adding adults and couples to her caseload.

 

Lisa’s expertise spans family dynamics, addiction, relationships and educational systems bolstered by certifications in substance abuse, ADHD, and clinical supervision. Emphasizing a collaborative approach, Lisa provides personalized care tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her deep belief in the power of the therapeutic process and subsequent healing has guided her toward a client-centered solution-focused and strength-based approach. Lisa is adept at establishing a positive counselor-client relationship which sets a course for healing, hope, self-discovery and personal growth. Lisa’s goal is to remove barriers and destigmatize mental health treatment, as well as to normalize counseling as part of promoting positive health and wellness.  Her dedication to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice ensures a safe harbor for clients and families at Lighthouse Counseling Group.
